摘要
本研究基于纽马克的文本类型理论和交际翻译法,对中国500强企业使命宣言及其英译本进行了系统分析。研究发现,当前英译本存在双关语内涵缺失;照搬原文,语句拖沓;欠额翻译,意义模糊等问题。为确保英译本的信息功能和呼唤功能,本研究提出分词释义;基于句式,删减概念重复词;保留核心,明晰定位等具体翻译对策。
This paper applies Peter Newmark’s text typology and communicative translation to analyze CMS of China’s Top 500 enterprises and its C-E translated versions.It can be found the most typical translation problems are manifested as loss in connotation of puns,rote translation with redundant words,and under-translation with vague implications.In order to perform the informative and vocative function,three corresponding countermeasures are proposed as paraphrasing puns on two terms,deleting words of repeated concepts,and retaining core information to highlight the implications.
