This article discusses the concept of the metaverse,its presentation methods,entry points,as well as its relationship with the Internet of Things(loT),challenges,and opportunities.The metaverse is described as a digitally integrated virtual space created using various technologies,combining elements of the real and virtual worlds.Presentation methods include Augmented Reality(AR),Virtual Reality(VR),and holographic imagery,with access through devices or mobile phones and PCs.IoT is considered a core enabling technology for the metaverse,encompassing perception,networking,plaform,and application layers to support data collection,secure connections,and intelligent services.However,challenges in connectivity,security,and interaction exist within IoT for metaverse applications.Despite these challenges,IoT presents significant opportunities for the metaverse.Thereis a widemarketoutlook,with potentialfor technological and cross-industry innovations.Application domains continue to expand,including areas such as tourism,museums,industrial operations,office environments,and education.
