陈则清《何文秀玉钗记》是一部少见的优秀悲剧作品。剧作主人公何文秀的命运与贪官污吏横行的明中后期社会现状密切相关,剧中人物从一开始就带有鲜明的悲剧色彩,冤案的发生是社会现实驱使下的必然现象。在悲剧人物的塑造上,作者有意识地赋予人物形象多元复杂的一面,使得人物性格开始趋向真实、立体。与西方悲剧不同,该剧深受儒家美学思想的影响,是具有中国特色的古典戏曲悲剧,体现了我国传统以“中和”为美的审美意趣。

Chen Zeqing's He Wenxiu Jade Hairpin Tale is a rare excellent tragic work.The fate of the protagonist He Wenxiu is closely related to the social situation in the middle and late Ming Dynasty when corrupt officials were rampant.The characters in the play have a distinct tragic color from the beginning,and the occurence of unjust cases is an inevitable phenomenon driven by social reality.In the creating of the tragic characters,the author consciously gives the characters a diverse and complex side,so that the characters'personalities begin to tend to be real and three-dimensional.Different from Western tragedies,the play is deeply influenced by Confucian aesthetic thought,and is a classical opera tragedy with Chinese characteristics,reflecting the aesthetic interest of view ing"neutralization"as beauty in China's tradition.
