摘要
死亡是唐·德里罗的长篇小说《白噪音》的主题,而生死分离则是作家关于死亡的思考的核心。本文运用让·鲍德里亚和齐格蒙特·鲍曼的相关理论来分析《白噪音》中生死分离的象征、建构和解构。研究发现,在空间隔离、身份隔离以及“纯净”与“肮脏”隔离的象征下,语言、消费物和媒体拟像等符号既建构了生死分离,又催生了内爆,解构了其自身所建构的生死分离。
Death is the theme of Don DeLillo’s White Noise,and the separation of life and death is at the center of DeLillo’s thoughts on death.Based on the relevant theories of Jean Baudrillard and Zygmunt Bauman,the symbol,construction and deconstruction of the separation of life and death in the novel are analyzed.It is found that through the symbols of spatial isolation,identity isolation and pure/dirty isolation,the signs of language,consumer objects and media simulacra,not only construct the separation of life and death,but also cause an implosion which deconstructs what has been constructed by itself.
