Research progress of CT in sarcopenia

肌少症是一种进行性、全身性的骨骼肌疾病,其特征是肌肉质量和力量减少。它已成为危害老年人健康最重要的慢性病之一,极大地增加了医疗负担。计算机断层扫描(CT)是诊断肌少症的主要方法之一,具有直观、快速、准确等优点。在这篇综述中,通过讨论老年人肌少症的4个基本热点话题来回答放射科医生感兴趣的问题:①定义;②病理生理;③临床意义;④肌少症的CT进展。

Sarcopenia is a progressive,systemic disease of skeletal muscle characterized by reduced muscle mass and strength.It has become a danger to the elderly health one of the most important chronic diseases,greatly increase the medical burden.Computed tomography(CT)is one of the main methods for the diagnosis of sarcopenia,which has the advantages of intuitive,rapid and accurate.In this review,we answer questions of interest to radiologists by discussing four basic hot topics in sarcopenia in the elderly:①Definition;②Pathophysiology;③Clinical significance;④CT progression of sarcopenia.
