In order to ensure the accuracy of the reference description,avoid elementary error and highlight academic level of the work,this paper summarizes rules for abbreviating titles of serials in languages using Roman based on the practice of medical journal editing,and according to ISO 4:1997 and relevant literature.It can be used as a reference material for writing academic paper.
