Aggregating Emotions in the Dynamic Performance of Symbols:The Dual Logic of Ritual Music as an Emotional Mobilization Symbol--an Investigation of the Military Parade on the National Day Since the New Century

作为一种听觉化的话语修辞文本,仪式音乐具有可溶性、伴随性、渗透性的属性特征,这些特征与情感的波动起伏存在着“异质同构”的相似性。研究以新世纪以来国庆阅兵仪式中的阅兵式音乐与群众游行式音乐作为观测对象,认为仪式音乐可被视作一种“组织符号”,在与仪式场景、仪式器物、仪式操演相互印证、相互契合的展演实践中,音乐文本通过具有意向性的编码与排列组合,将个体的生活经验及想象与国家意象进行巧妙融合、勾连,从而询唤出某种特定情感。在仪式情境所渲染的“能量场”中,仪式音乐表征出特定的意义所指,将政治仪式所内蕴的主流价值进行隐喻性传达,构筑起“散布性支持”的文化资源,成为当代政治生活中进行政治动员、政治教化的重要柔性工具。从学理与实践层面审视仪式音乐与情感动员的内在互动逻辑,可以为理解中国式语境下音乐与政治传播实践的关系提供一个崭新视角。

As an auditory discourse rhetorical text,ritual music has the characteristics of solubility,accompaniment,and permeability,which are similar to the fluctuations of emotions in terms of heterogeneity and isomorphism.Therefore,taking the military parade music and mass parade music on the National Day since the new century as observation objects,this study believes that ritual music can be seen as an"organizational symbol".In the performance practice of confirming and matching with ritual spots,ritual objects,and ritual performances,music texts skillfully integrate and connect individual life experiences and imagination with national imagery through intentional encoding and arrangement so as to elicit a specific emotion.In the"energy field"rendered by the ritual context,ritual music represents specific meanings and metaphorically conveys the mainstream value contained in political rituals,constructing cultural resources of"dissemination support",and becoming an important flexible tool for political mobilization and political education in contemporary political life.Examining the internal interactive logic of ritual music and emotional mobilization from the theoretical and practical levels can provide a new perspective for understanding the relationship between music and political communication practice in the Chinese context.
