Multi-dimensional Analysis of the Relationships Between Records and Data:With a Discussion of the Conceptual Orientation of Archival Data

数据社会,数据及档案数据成为档案界的高频词和热点词,但数据的抽象性和模糊性使这些概念的界定和使用变得复杂。在梳理档案与数据概念内涵的基础上,从学理、法律、实操(技术)三个层面逐层展开对比分析,得到档案与数据的多维关系--等同关系、包含关系和交叉关系,分析多种关系视角并存的合理性及各自对应的理论与实践议题;同时将档案数据置于档案与数据的多维关系中考察,拆解当前档案数据概念,建议用“档案数据”特指数据化语境下的档案数据化成果。

and ambiguous nature of data makes the definition and use of these concepts complicated.On the basis of sorting out the connotation of the concepts of records and data,the multi-dimensional relationships between records and data-equivalence,inclusion,and intersection-is obtained by comparing and analyzing them at three levels:theoretical,legal and practical(technical).The rationality of the coexistence of multiple relational perspectives and their corresponding theoretical and practical issues is then analyzed.Archival data is also examined in the context of the multi-dimensional relationships between records and data,and the current concept of archival data is disassembled,suggesting that the term‘archival data’refers specifically to the product of records datafication in datafication context.
