摘要
对于以普通文理学科见长、专门职业学院卓越的老牌综合性大学,如何开展具有特色和吸引力的工程教育?哈佛大学工程与应用科学学院以其重建十六年的创新理念与实践,作出了令人满意的回应。哈佛工学院利用全校多学科优势,为应对人类社会重大挑战和培养复合型未来领导者,提供跨学科、跨领域融合平台;将设计教育作为工程教育复兴重要抓手,围绕工程设计思维培养,重塑工科课程和知识体系;优先发展培养计算能力相关学科及学科群建设,为工程教育数字化转型与整体性变革提供了独特经验。
How to develop distinctive and attractive engineering education for the comprehensive university that excels in general liberal arts and sciences and professional colleges?The 16-year history of the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences(SEAS)has responded to the question above.It has the multi-disciplines to provide an interdisciplinary platform for solving grand challenges and cultivating compound leaders for future.Meanwhile,design education is essential to the renaissance of engineering education,and the curriculum and the body of knowledge should be reshaped to cultivate design thinking.It also gives priority to the development of computing-related disciplines and the related discipline clusters,promoting digital and holistic engineering education transformation.
