参军经历、社会资本对老年人自评健康的影响

The impact of military experience and social capital on the self-rated health of the elderly

基于2018年中国家庭追踪调查数据,研究参军经历、社会资本以及二者的交互效应对老年人自评健康的影响,并分别探讨参军经历和社会资本对老年人自评健康的影响机制,结果表明:参军经历会对老年人的自评健康水平产生负面影响;社会资本对老年人的健康改进具有显著的正向影响;社会资本能够缓解参军经历对老年人自评健康的不利影响,并且这种作用在农村地区更为显著;参军经历主要通过罹患慢性病对老年自评健康产生不利影响,社会资本缓解这种不利影响的途径包括改善收入状况、促进非正式借贷、加大健康投资。基于此,提出加强退役军人健康保障政策、完善农村地区社会保障制度、促进城乡医疗资源均衡配置等政策建议。

Based on the data from Chinese Family Panel Survey(CFPS)in 2018,this paper studies the impact of military experience,social capital and their interaction on the health of older people,and further discusses the impact mechanism.The results show that the military experience has a negative impact on the self-rated health of the elderly.Social capital has a significant positive impact on the health improvement of the elderly.Social capital can buffer the adverse effects of military experience on the health of the elderly,which is more significant in rural areas.The military experience has an adverse impact on the self-rated health of the elderly mainly by suffering chronic diseases.Social capital can alleviate this negative impact by improving the income status,promoting informal loans,and increasing the health investment.Based on this,the paper puts forward some policy suggestions,such as strengthening the health security policy of veterans,improving the social security system in rural areas and promoting the balanced allocation medical resources in urban and rural areas.
