This paper presents the fundamental framework of the Independent Qualification Assessment System in Russia,together with the essential criteria and procedural guidelines for the independent assessment of architects'qualifications in the country.Through comparison and analysis of the professional qualification examination system,subjects,content,and working procedures for registered architects in China,this paper seeks to draw upon the experience and practice of the independent qualification assessment system for architects in Russia,putting forward recommendations for enhancing the relevant policies in order to further refine the system of professional qualification examination for registered architects in China.
