自20世纪40年代起,阿拉伯世界开始从理论向实践探索发展区域经济一体化。阿拉伯国家拥有深厚的历史联系和相似的社会文化背景,这为其经济一体化奠定了良好基础。但受阿拉伯国家内部政治分野和经济结构性矛盾制约,以及经济全球化和国际形势对地区经贸合作的消极影响,阿拉伯区域经济一体化面临诸多困境与挑战。近些年,在国际经济持续低迷和新冠疫情冲击全球经济的背景下,阿拉伯国家经济发展和一体化进程虽遭重创,却也为其经济结构转型、融入全球价值链分工,以及推动共同市场、自贸区和经济一体化建设提供了不竭动力。实现阿拉伯区域经济一体化成为阿拉伯世界强化内部团结、促进国家经济改革、解决地区矛盾和争端、实现共同富裕的重要途径。

Since the 1940s,the Arab world has begun to explore and develop regional economic integration from theory to practice.Arab countries have profound historical bonds and similar social and cultural backgrounds,thereby laying a solid foundation for the advance of their economic integration.However,being restricted by the internal political divisions and economic structural contradictions of Arab countries as well as the negative impacts of economic globalization and international situations on regional economic and trade cooperation,the development of Arab regional economic integration is facing lots of difficulties and challenges.In recent years,under the backgrounds of the continued downturn of the international economy and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy,the economic development and integration process of the Arab countries,although being severely damaged,have also provided inexhaustible impetus for their economic structural transformation,the integration into the global value chain division of labor and the promotion of the integrated construction of the common markets,free trade zones and economies.The realization of the economic integration of the Arab regions has become a significant way for the Arab world to strengthen internal unity,promote national economic reform,resolve regional conflicts and disputes,and achieve collective prosperity.
