A Study of the Origins of Gibran’s Thoughts

纪伯伦是一位具有跨文化特点的作家,他的思想体系是东西方各种宗教、信仰、文化共同孕育的结果。本文通过细读纪伯伦不同阶段的作品,并结合其生活经历,从阿拉伯伊斯兰文化、西方文化和东方文化三个方面探究纪伯伦思想体系的成因,以阐释其人生观及其作品的哲学意蕴。纪伯伦吸收了不同思想,并在积累与调整的基础上融会贯通,对阿拉伯本土文学和旅美派文学都有深远的影响。

Gibran is a writer with cross-cultural characteristics,and his system of thought is the result of various religions,beliefs,and cultures in the East and the West.Through the careful reading of Gibran’s works at different stages and his life experience,the origins of Gibran’s thought system are explored from three aspects:Arab-Islamic culture,Western culture and Eastern culture,so as to explain his outlook on life and the philosophical implications of his works.Gibran absorbed different ideas and integrated them on the basis of accumulation and adjustment,which had a profound impact on the subsequent native Arabic literature and Arab-American Literature.
