This paper mainly discuss the developing theory of Chinese literature in the world,and question the traditional sayings and viewpoints in academia.Through subject theory and the facts of writers’literary practice,the concept,periodization and academic research value of Chinese literature in the new era are restated,and indicate the existence,relevance,and interrelationships of Chinese literature in world Chinese literature and literature of Chinese descent.The continuous growth and development of Chinese literature will have a profound impact on the diversification and crossover of world literature.
