Gu Yuanqing is a famous scholar and master in the field of Chinese literature research.This article divides his academic career into three periods,focusing on the characteristics of his academic research for more than half a century,and discusses them from the following aspects:first,focusing on the innovative consciousness of opening up new paths for academic research;second,the courage to Engage in the discussion of cutting-edge issues in Chinese literature research;third,be willing to express personal voice in private historical research;fourth,compile a series of yearbooks to preserve precious historical materials.
