摘要
[目的/意义]《红星照耀中国》是美国记者埃德加·斯诺报道红色中国的经典著作,先后被翻译成20余种语言在世界各地出版传播。《红星照耀中国》全球出版传播的历史轨迹与地域格局不仅展现该书在全世界的接受度和影响力,对新时代中国故事和中国形象的国际传播亦具有重要的借鉴价值和现实意义。[方法/过程]利用联机计算机图书馆中心的全球图书馆在线联合目录数据库OCLC WorldCat,对《红星照耀中国》全球馆藏数据进行长时段、大规模的考察,并呈现该书在全球化语境下出版传播的时空特质。[结果/结论 ]全球馆藏数据的统计与分析结果显示,该书问世85年来在时间维度上呈现出迅速流传、更新换代、短暂停滞、海外复苏和平稳发展等5个出版传播阶段;在空间维度上构建出版语种多样性、出版市场规模化、海外馆藏广泛性的文化地域空间。
[Purpose/Significance] Red Star Over China, a classic work of red China by American journalist Edgar Snow, has been translated into more than twenty languages and published around the world. The study on the historical track and geographical distribution of the book's global publishing can not only show its acceptance and influence around the world, but also have important reference value and practical significance for the international dissemination of Chinese story and Chinese image in the new era. [Method/Process] Using OCLC WorldCat, the paper took a long-term and large-scale investigation of the book's global collection, and exposed the spatial and temporal characteristics of the book's publishing in the context of globalization. [Result/Conclusion] Statistics and analysis of the book's global collections show that the book has been published in five stages in the past 85 years,including rapid circulation, renewal, short-lived stagnation, overseas recovery and stable development, and in the spatial dimension. It has built up a cultural geography with a diversity of publishing languages, a large-scale publishing market and extensive overseas collections.
