Brief Report of Field Surveys in the Xili Reservoir Area of Shenzhen City

西丽水库位于深圳市西北部,四周被低山丘陵环绕,北部有白芒河、麻磡河和大磡河三条河形成的冲积台地,南部为大沙河出口。2006年和2019年两次全面的田野考古调查共发现29处先秦时期遗址。这些遗址大多分布于北部的冲积台地,少数位于海拔较高的丘陵坡地。根据采集遗物特征,大体可将这批遗址(遗存)分为四类,即咸头岭文化时期遗存、夏末至商末时期遗存、西周晚期至春秋时期遗存及战国时期遗存。

The Xili Reservoir is located in the northwest of Shenzhen City,surrounded by low hills and hillocks.A floodplain formed by three rivers(Baimang,Makan,and Dakan Rivers)lies to the north of the Xili Reservoir;by contrast,the outlet for the Dasha River is to the south of the Xili Reservoir.Two field surveys were conducted in the Xili Reservoir area in 2006 and 2019,respectively,locating a total of 29 pre-Qin sites.Most sites are distributed in the floodplain,and only a few are identified at localities of high elevations.Surface collections suggest these sites are dated to four different periods:the Xiantouling period,the Late Xia to Late Shang period,the Late Western Zhou to Spring and Autumn period,and the Warring States period.
