Low-Cost Hydrogel Film for Sustainable Carbon Dioxide Capture

To reduce greenhouse gas emissions around the world and meet climate goals as the Paris Agreement,scientists at Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT)have been looking into cost effective and sustainable carbon-capture technologies.The current standard approach for carbon capture and sequestration uses aqueous amine solutions to extract carbon dioxide from flue gases.It is industrially mature,but also suffers from low energy efficiency and inferior stability with the amine solutions used.
