共情叙事视角下中国概况教学原则

Teaching principles for introductory courses to China based on theories of empathetic narrative

摘要 共情叙事是指通过共情策略、旨在引发受众情感共鸣的叙事方式。本文以教学经验为基础,从共情叙事视角提出中国概况的教学原则,分别是微小叙事、知微见著;实现共情、改变认知;立足共性,平等对话。这些原则构成了教学的形式、目的和基础。文章认为,基于这些原则,中国概况教学能够实现由表达内容到抵达共情的飞跃,促进留学生对中国的认识和理解,提升其跨文化和全球胜任力。文章阐述的教学原则对综合课、阅读课、报刊课等课程的教学具有普遍的应用价值。 Empathetic Narrative is a mode of narrative which aims at triggering emotional resonance through empathetic strategies.Based on experiences as an instructor of introductory courses to China,the author proposes some teaching principles for these courses in the light of empathetic narrative theories,which include petty narrative,empathy orientation and human universals,forming the mode,objective and basis of teaching respectively.It is argued that with these principles introductory courses to China can be transformed from merely presenting information to triggering empathy so that the students could have a better understanding of China and enhanced cross-cultural abilities and global competence.These principles are also applicable to the teaching of courses such as extensive reading,newspaper and magazine reading,and comprehensive courses.
