摘要
《伯灵顿杂志》是英国最具国际影响的艺术研究期刊,也是20世纪上半叶密集刊发中国艺术评论最知名的西方刊物,自创刊(1903)迄今已有一百余年的历史。杂志在1903-1939年间从未间断的444期刊物上发表了大量有关中国书画及其他艺术的评论,以及西方在中亚、东亚探险考古的信息,不仅成为西方学者借鉴世界各国各地区文化遗产、推进现代主义美学探索的重要阵地,亦为中国古典艺术与美学原则进入世界艺术的主流话语体系,助推现代主义思潮的生成做出了突出贡献。
The Burlington Magazine is the most internationally influential art research journal in the United Kingdom,as well as the most well-known western journal intensively publishing Chinese art criticism in the first half of the 20th century.With a history of more than one hundred years since its founding at the year 1903,this journal has published a large number of comments on Chinese calligraphy,painting and other forms of arts in 444 issues from 1903 to 1939,together with much information on western archaeological exploration in Central Asia and East Asia.Thus,it not only becomes an important academic forum for western scholars to gain from the cultural heritage of various countries and regions in the world and promote the exploration of modernism aesthetics,but also makes outstanding contributions for the Chinese classical art and aesthetic principles to enter the mainstream discourse system of world art and promotes the generation of modernism.
