公共外交视域下的来华留学生跨文化交际能力研究

Research on Intercultural Communication Competence of InternationalStudents in China from the Perspective of Public Diplomacy

通过阐释公共外交和跨文化交际相关理论,旨在揭示跨文化交际能力与公共外交的内在联系。来华留学生是中国故事的见证者和参与者,是中国公共外交的主体之一。以来华留学生为研究对象,从身份属性、民众信服力、经济效益三个方面探讨来华留学生公共外交的必要性和重要价值。以促进留学生公共外交为目的,提出提升来华留学生跨文化交际能力的有效策略:创新留学生趋同化管理,充分利用校友资源;加强中华文化认同,构建公共外交平台;促进来华留学生就业,发挥留学生经济红利。

By elucidating theories related to public diplomacy and cross-cultural communication,this study reveals the inherent connection between cross-cultural communication competence and public diplomacy.International students studying in China are witnesses and participants of Chinese stories,and are one of the main subjects of China’s public diplomacy.Taking international students in China as the research object,this paper explores the necessity and important value of public diplomacy for international students from three aspects:identity attributes,public credibility and economic benefits.With the aim of promoting public diplomacy among international students,effective strategies are proposed to enhance their cross-cultural communication skills in China:fully utilizing students resources by innovating the management of international students convergence,building a public diplomacy platform by strengthening Chinese cultural identity,and unleashing their economic benefits by promoting international students to find a job.
