At present, improving urban economic resilience requires more focus on the deep impact of the scale of imported products.By matching data of 285 cities with data from customs, the article constructs an econometric model to test the impact effect, transmission mechanism and spatial spillover of the scale of imported products on urban economic resilience. The results indicate that expanding the scale of imported products has a significant improvement effect on urban economic resilience.Heterogeneity analysis shows that the impact of the scale of imported products on urban economic resilience is more significant under the dimension of non-resource oriented and large-scale cities.Mechanism test shows that the scale of imported products can improve the recover and redevelop abilities of the economic system of cities by promoting industrial structure upgrading, improving industrial agglomeration and enhancing technological innovation capabilities,so as to strengthen economic resilience of cities.Furthermore,it is found that the scale of imported products has a positive spatial spillover effect on urban economic resilience by constructing a spatial Durbin model. Therefore, this article suggests that great attention should be paid to the promoting effect of imported products on industrial structure, industrial agglomeration and technological innovation in order to build resilient cities and strengthen urban economic resilience.
