Mao Zedong’s View of Ecology:Connotation,Value and Practice

以毛泽东同志为主要代表的中国共产党人在探索中国革命道路、中国式现代化道路的实践进程中,也在探索中国生态文明建设道路。在漫长的革命生涯中,毛泽东阐述过很多关于自然、生态、环境与农业、林业、牧业、副业、渔业、医学、人居关系的论述和思想。毛泽东的生态观是传统和现代思想相结合的系统生态观、人民至上的生态观、立足于科学理论指导的生态观、坚持安全思维和底线思维的生态观。毛泽东的生态观不仅关注自然生态系统的治理和改造,而且重视复合生态系统如水域生态系统、农田生态系统、城市生态系统的构建和经营,既有继承性又有创新性,对当前进行生态文明建设具有重要启示。

During the process of exploring in the path of Chinese revolution and the Chinese path to modernization,Chinese communists as represented by comrade Mao Zedong were also exploring in the construction path of Chinese ecological civilization.In his long revolutionary career,Mao Zedong made a lot of comments on the relationship between nature,ecology,environment,agriculture,forestry,husbandry,sideline,medicine,and human habitation.Mao Zedong’s view of ecology is a systematic view combining traditional and modern thoughts;a view of ecology putting the people first;a view of ecology guided by scientific theory;and a view of ecology sticking to the thinking of security and the bottom-line thinking.Mao Zedong’s view of ecology not only pays attention to the governance and reconstruction of the natural ecosystem,but also emphasizes the building and operating of compound ecosystems,such as aquatic ecosystem,farmland ecosystem and urban ecosystem.His view of ecology is characterized by both succession and innovation,having an important enlightening significance for the construction of ecological civilization nowadays.
