The Impact of Domestic Value Chain Division of Labor on Export Technology Complexity

文章在全球价值链分工大背景下构建了国内价值链分工指数,并以此为基础探讨了国内价值链分工对一国出口技术复杂度的影响及其作用机制。研究发现,国内价值链分工程度加深对出口技术复杂度具有显著正向作用,且研究结果经过多重稳健性检验和内生性检验后依然显著。机制分析发现:上述影响主要通过技术进步和产业结构优化等作用渠道对出口技术复杂度产生影响。调节效应检验发现:优良的制度质量不仅能够直接提升出口技术复杂度,还能够在一定程度上强化国内价值链分工对出口技术复杂度的影响。文章为构建完备的国内价值链分工体系,打造优良的营商环境推动国内国际双循环新发展格局,提供了有益探索和参考。

The authors construct the domestic value chain division index in the condition of global value chain division,and empirically discusses the impact of domestic value chain division on a country's(region's)export technology complexity and its mechanism.It is found that the deepening domestic value chain division has a significant positive effect on export technology complexity,and the results remain significant after multiple robustness tests and endogenous tests.Subsequently,in the mechanism analysis link,it is found that the above impact mainly affects the export technology complexity through channels such as technological progress and industrial structure optimization.The test of moderating effects reveals that excellent institutional quality can not only directly improve the export technological complexity,but also strengthen the impact of domestic value chain division of labor on export technological complexity to a certain extent.The authors provide valuable exploration and reference for building a complete domestic value chain division system,creating an excellent business environment,and promoting the new pattern of domestic and international dual cycle development.
