Wang Yangming and the Lecture Activities in Chuzhou during the Ming Dynasty

正德年间,王阳明来滁任职,聚徒讲学。阳明走后,阳明后学继续在滁开展了众多的讲学活动。阳明后学在滁的讲学活动,特别是早期的讲学活动,遭到了当地学术领袖、程朱学者和甘泉学派门人的排斥和压制,这也显示出明代滁州学术环境的多元性和竞争性。

During the Zhengde period,Wang Yangming came to Chuzhou to hold a position and gathered to give lectures.After Wang Yangming left,his disciples continued to carry out numerous teaching activities in Chuzhou.The teaching activities of Wang Yangming’s disciples in Chuzhou,especially the early ones,were rejected and suppressed by local academic leaders,scholars from Cheng and Zhu,and members of the Ganquan School,which also demonstrates the diversity and competitiveness of the academic environment in Chuzhou during the Ming Dynasty.
