机器翻译对外语学习的影响及应对策略

The Influence of Machine Translation on Foreign Language Learning and Corresponding Coping Strategies

机器翻译在降低学生学习成本、提高外语学习效率的同时,可能导致学生产生过度依赖心理、思考能力下降及课堂注意力不集中等问题。以机器翻译的利弊为切入点,通过对日语误译例的具体分析,从提升译者中外双语能力、了解不同文化的差异性、多元化校对提高准确性、利用回译法进行再确认四个角度提出应对策略。

While reducing students' learning cost and improving the efficiency of foreign language learning,machine translation also brings about some problems,such as the tendency of the students' over-dependence on it,the decline of their thinking ability and the distraction of their in-class attention.This paper takes the advantages and disadvantages of machine translation as the starting point,analyzes the mistranslation cases,and puts forward specific coping strategies from four aspects:improving the translator's bilingual capacities,understanding the differences between distinct cultures,improving the accuracy of multiple proofreading,and using the back translation method to re-confirm.
