近代中国理科研究所的产生既源于中国科学事业发展的急切需要,又有赖于学者对学术专业化的积极倡导和理科人才资源的初步积累。近代中国理科研究所经历了自发草创、逆势推进和泡沫增长3个阶段。近代中国理科研究所促进了我国理科科研水平的整体提升,培养了一大批卓越的高层次理科人才,为战时国防建设和民生保障提供了技术支撑。近代中国理科研究所在发展的过程中形成了办学规模有限,师资水平一流;人才培养过程严格,育人方式多元;科研条件简陋,研究成果卓然的特点。

The emergence of modern Chinese Institutes of Science not only stems from the urgent need of the development of China's science cause,but also depends on the scholars'active advocacy of academic spe-cialization and the preliminary accumulation of science talent resources.The Institute of Science in modern China experienced three stages:spontaneous initiation,counter-trend promotion and bubble growth.In modern China,the Institute of Science promoted the overall improvement of scientific research in China,trained a large number of outstanding high-level scientifie talents,and provided technical support for wartime national defense construction and people's livelihood security.In the course of its development,the modern Chinese Institute of Science has formed a limited scale of education and a first-class level of teachers.The process of personnel training is strict,and the way of education is diverse,the characteristics of simple scientific research conditions and outstanding research results.
