Research on Urban Philosophy in China over the Past Two Decades:Approaches and Trends

中国城市哲学研究在进入21世纪后才真正展开,这既有实践的基础,又是理论进一步发展的需要,同时更是反思和回应重大现实问题的要求。二十年来,中国城市哲学研究形成了自己特有的理论进路,既包括以空间生产的理论阐释与理论批判为主线的城市哲学理论的体系化建构,又包括以国外城市哲学和城市理论的专题研究为对象的城市哲学思想的谱系化丰富,同时也包括以研究的多视域推进为基本路径的城市哲学方法论体系的丰富和完善。沿着这样的理论进路,中国城市哲学研究初步建立了自己的范式体系和学术体系,取得了相应的学术成就。中国当前的城市化实践中仍然有许多重大的理论问题需要解决,人民城市观的理论建构是急迫的理论任务。与此同时,城市化的创新实践也造成了当代城市发展中的新问题、新特征和新趋势,需要城市哲学的反思、概括和阐释。这些问题既是中国城市哲学研究遭遇的理论挑战和面临的时代课题,同时也昭示了中国城市哲学研究进一步发展的路向和趋势。

The study of urban philosophy in China only truly began in the 21st century,which is not only based on urbanization practice,but also a need for further theoretical development,as well as a requirement for reflection and response to major practical issues.Over the past two decades,research on urban philosophy in China has developed its own unique theoretical approach,which includes the systematic construction of urban philosophy theories with theoretical interpretation and criticism of space production as the main theme,as well as the rich lineage of urban philosophy thoughts with specialized research on foreign urban philosophy and urban theory as the object.At the same time,it also includes the enrichment and improvement of the urban philosophy methodology system based on the promotion of multiple perspectives in research.Following this theoretical approach,the research on urban philosophy in China has initially established its own paradigm and academic system,and has achieved corresponding academic achievements.On the other hand,there are still many significant theoretical issues to be solved in current urbanization practice in China,and the theoretical construction of the notion of“the city for the people”is an urgent theoretical task.At the same time,the innovative practice of urbanization has also created new problems,characteristics,and trends in contemporary urban development,which require reflection,summarization,and interpretation from the perspective of urban philosophy.These issues are not only theoretical challenges and contemporary tasks in urban philosophy research in China,but also indicate the direction and trend of further development in Chinese urban philosophy research.
