According to the French phenomenologist Michel Henry,a unique contri-bution of Nietzsche's doctrine of the will to power is to reveal a primordi-al relationship between the powerful force of the will and the immanence of life.Henry argues that the identity between the will to power and the pas-sions suggests that the affections received by life in experiences such as au-to-affection are the true source ofits power.Henry's interpretation not only serves as a breakthrough thread linking Nietzsche's major theories but also re-flects a deep connection between his own thought and Nietzsche's philosophy,namely,the supreme concern fort the immanence and affectivityof1 life.
