The emperor Taizong of Song dynasty,born in the chaotic times of the Five dynasties,originally had limited cultural cultivation,but he showed a strong tendency to worship literature during his reign.He made a rare positive attitude in terms of policy measures,relations with civil officials and scholars,as well as his own behavior.Therefore,he was regarded as a king who advocated Confucianism by later Song people.The obvious difference between the emperor Taizong and Taizu of the Song dynasty was gradually formed with the failure of two northern expeditions,and its root was closely related to the change of the political orientation at that time.Under the tense situation of border invasion and oppression,the road of military accomplishments encountered obstacles,and the emperor Taizong of Song dynasty had to turn to the pursuit of civil rule.In the reign of emperor Taizong of Song dynasty,civil officials began to rise and gradually became the core strength of rule.The close combination of imperial power and civil government group laid a solid foundation for the establishment of the Song dynasty’s civil administration line and its government orientation.Thus,it reflects the basic establishment of the line of culture and governance in the emperor Taizong of Song dynasty,and has a profound impact on the heirs,kings and ministers.
