Design and implementation of paleontological information management platform in Hubei province

古生物化石是一种重要的自然资源,既能够用于人类科学研究,又能够经过合理利用作为人类参观、进行科普教学的资源。湖北省古生物信息管理平台利用信息技术和GIS技术,基于B/S架构建立古生物化石信息平台,实现湖北省古生物化石相关信息的管理与共享,满足古生物化石相关数据的综合管理、可视化展示、信息发布、科普教育、科普宣传等多方面的需求。

Paleontological fossils are an important natural resource,which can not only be used for human scientific research,but also can be rationally used as a resource for human visits and popular science teaching.Hubei paleontological information man-agement platform uses information technology and GIS technology,based on B/S architecture,to establish a paleontological fossil information platform,realize the management and sharing of paleontological fossil-related information in Hubei Province,and meet the comprehensive management,visual display,information release,popular science education,popular science publicity and other aspects of paleontological fossil-related data.
