A Review of Researches on Jack Kerouac in China

20世纪五六十年代“垮掉的一代”作品输入国内以来,我国学界对其研究渐盛,批评基调亦随时代的变迁而变化。以“垮掉的一代”的代表人物杰克·凯鲁亚克作为研究对象,通过梳理和总结我国自20世纪50年代末以来对凯鲁亚克作品从批判到接受的研究历程,论证我国外交政策与文化政策的历时演变是凯鲁亚克及其“垮掉派”同伴的文学价值在国内逐渐得到客观理性认识的主要原因,揭示其作品的经典性和流行性以及新时期我国文学与文化研究兼收并蓄的积极姿态。

Since the works of“the Beat Generation”were introduced to China in the 1950s and 1960s,researches on them have been flourishing in China’s academic circle,and the tones of their criti⁃cism have changed with the changes of the times.Jack Kerouac,a representative of the Beats,is taken as the object of study.By sorting out and summarizing the research history of Kerouac’s works from repudiation to acceptance in China since the late 1950s.It illustrates that the diachronic evolution of China’s foreign and cultural policies are the main reasons why Kerouac and his Beat companions grad⁃ually gained objective and rational understanding of their literary value in China.Meanwhile,it reveals the classicism and popularity of Kerouac’s works,as well as the positive attitude of Chinese literature and cultural research in the new era.
