Objective:To observe the clinical effect of essential oil of pueraria lobata combined with self-massage on cervical spondylosis.Methods:Sixty-six patients with cervical spondylosis were randomly divided into observation group(n=33)and control group(n=33),essential oil of pueraria lobata combined with self-massage and conventional massage were respectively used for intervention. The clinical effect,VAS score and cervical range of motion score were observed before and after treatment. Results:The overall response rate of observation group was 93.9%,and that of control group was 90.9%,the observation group was slightly better than that of control group with no statistical significant(P>0.05).After treatment, the VAS score and cervical mobility score of both groups were significantly better than before treatment(P<0.01,P<0.05),and the VAS score of observation group was better than that of control group(P<0.05),the cervical mobility score was slightly lower than the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:Essential oil of pueraria lobata combined with self-massage in the treatment of cervical spondylosis has a good clinical effect, especially in relieving neck pain, which is safe, reliable, convenient and suitable for popularization.
