摘要
跨境电商已成为外贸领域十分重要的新兴业态,为我国释放消费潜力,促进消费升级提供了新思路。为检验跨境电商的发展是否会助力消费结构升级,在对跨境电商进口规模衡量指标进行创新的基础上,基于2003—2016年31个省份的面板数据进行了实证研究。结果发现,跨境电商进口对居民消费结构升级具有明显的直接促进效应。该结论存在区域异质性与群体异质性,跨境电商进口对消费结构升级的促进效果在中部及东部地区和恩格尔系数较低的居民群体中更明显。
Cross-border e-commerce has become a very important emerging industry in the field of foreign trade,providing a new idea for China to release its consumption potential and promote consumption upgrading.In order to test whether the development of cross-border e-commerce will help upgrade the consumption structure,on the basis of the innovation of cross-border e-commerce import scale measurement indicators,the empirical research was carried out based on panel data of 31 provincial-level administrative regions from 2003 to 2016.The results show that crossborder e-commerce imports have a significant direct promotion effect on the upgrading of the consumption structure.This conclusion has regional heterogeneity and group heterogeneity:The promotion effect of cross-border e-commerce imports on the upgrading of consumption structure is more obvious in the central and eastern regions and the residents with low Engel coefficient.
