中医典籍中计量单位英译研究——以《金匮要略》为例

A Study on the English Translation of Units of Measurement in Traditional Chinese Medicine Classics——A Case Study of Jin Kui Yao lu

文章从《金匮要略》全书方药中的计量单位入手,采用文献分析法、实证分析法和归纳总结法,将其分为标准度量衡单位、非标准度量衡单位和特殊计量单位三类,结合阮继源、罗希文和李照国三个译本,对比分析了三个英译本计量单位的翻译策略的异同。研究发现,罗译本和李译本大多采用音译和直译的方法,保留了中医典籍中计量单位的特色;阮译本则更加灵活,采用了意译、音译、音译加注、直译加注等多种英译方法,更为准确地传达了方药中计量单位的意义。此外,文章还探讨了计量单位在中医典籍的翻译方法,有利于完善中医典籍翻译研究,为其他中医典籍的翻译提供指导和借鉴。

Starting from the units of measurement in the prescriptions of the book“Synopsis of the Golden Chamber”,this paper used the literature analysis method,empirical analysis method and inductive summary method,dividing them into three categories:standard u⁃nits of weights and measures,non-standard units of weights and measures,and special units.This study combined the three translations of Ruan Jiyuan,Luo Xiwen and Li Zhaoguo to compare and analyze the similarities and differences between the translation strategies in three English translations.This study showed that Luo and Li's translations mostly use transliteration and literal translation methods,which retain the characteristics of measurement units in Chinese medicine texts.Ruan's version is more flexible,using various English translation meth⁃ods such as paraphrasing,transliteration,transliteration,and literal annotation,which more accurately conveys the meaning of the units of measurement in prescription medicine.This paper also discussed the translation methods of measurement units in Traditional Chinese Med⁃icine(TCM)classics,which will be conducive in improving the other researches of TCM classics and will also provide guidance and refer⁃ence for the translation of other TCM classics.
