进步与局限:民初学者的日本图书馆考察认知

Progress and Limitations: A Study of Japanese Libraries by Scholars in the Early Republic of China Period

民国初期,受晚清“学日思潮”遗风、社会教育兴盛、日方政策诱导等的影响,再次兴起了赴日考察风潮。与晚清相比,中国近代图书馆事业以及图书馆学研究的进一步发展,给民初考察者对日本图书馆事业和学术的认知判断造成一定的影响。民初学者赴日考察图书馆的重心在于日本图书馆管理制度及其社会教育作用,在肯定日本图书馆事业在环境设施、经营管理、职业精神、社会教育活动等方面所取得的成就的同时,也指出了日本在图书馆学体系建构中存在的问题。民初学者赴日考察图书馆,客观上促进日本图书馆先进理念的在华传播,推进了中国图书馆学的本土化发展,同时也拓展了中日图书馆合作交流的领域。

In the early years of the Republic of China,influenced by the late Qing Dynasty's“Study Japan”trend,the flourishing of social education,and the inducement of Japanese policies,there was a renewed trend of visiting Japan for research purposes.The further development of modern Chinese library cause and library science research had a certain impact on the Japanese library cause and academic cognition of the explorers at the beginning of the Republic of China period.Their investigations primarily centered around the management system and the social educational role of Japanese libraries.While acknowledging the achievements of Japanese libraries in terms of infrastructure,operational management,professional ethos,and social education activities,they also pointed out the issues present in the Japanese library science system.The visits by early Republican scholars to Japanese libraries objectively promoted the dissemination of advanced Japanese library concepts in China,facilitated the localization and development of Chinese library science,and also expanded the scope of cooperation and exchange between Chinese and Japanese libraries.
