This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the current status and achievements in the ecological recovery of rivers and lakes in Shaanxi Province.Using the Shichuan River as a case study,it introduces the ongoing efforts and outlines the short-term and long-term goals of the initiative to recover“mother rivers”.Based on an analysis of the existing problems and challenges in the ecological protection of rivers and lakes in Shaanxi Province,the paper puts forward recommendations for the next steps,aiming to serve as a reference and insight to advance the high-quality development of water resources in Shaanxi.
