《文心雕龙》“情采”的英译及其变异研究

A Study of English Translation Variation of"Ch'ing-ts'ai"in The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragons

在《文心雕龙》“情采”篇中,刘勰论述了“情”与“采”之间的关系。用“情采”阐释“文质”,在儒家文论的基础上进一步突出“采”,构建了新的“文质”关系的范畴。本文从比较文学译介学以及变异学角度出发,分析施友忠和杨国斌两个全译本中关于“情采”的英译,对比两个译本在语言层面、语义层面及文化层面的差异,结合刘勰的“情采观”原义,对英语世界中“情采”的翻译及阐释进行观照,解蔽其中的“创造性叛逆”和变异现象,为建构中国文论的海外译介路径提供思路。

Liu Xie illustrates the relationship of Ch'ing-ts'ai in The Literary Mind and the Caroing of Dragons.On the basis of Confucian literary theory,he highlights the importance of"Ts'ai",constructing a new category of"literary quality".This paper studies"Ch'ing-ts'ai"from the perspective of comparative literature translation and variation to reveal the variant forms and their variation strategies in the process of translation by exploring English translation of Vincent Yu-chung Shih and Yang Guobin.Comparing the two translations in the language level,semantic level and cultural differences,combined with the original meaning of Liu Xie,it can be found that these translation and variation strategies provide methodological instruction for the foreign translation of Chinese literary theory,meanwhile open up a new way for the overseas discourse field of Chinese literary theory.
