The lion pattern in Tang Dynasty embroidery is one of the traditional auspicious animal patterns in our country,which represents the auspicious wisdom,the valiant and diligent,and has the important inheritance significance.The historical overview of lion patterns in Tang Dynasty embroidery is analyzed,and its artistic characteristics are analyzed from four aspects:shape,composition,color,and culture.The application of lion pattern in Tang Dynasty embroidery in the costume design is analyzed in order to enrich the design system of the clothing products.The lion pattern in Tang Dynasty embroidery has been integrated into modern clothing through modern design semantics,which to some extent promotes the inheritance and innovation of excellent traditional culture in modern life,and plays a positive role in promoting the dissemi-nation and development of excellent traditional culture.
