加强中国法律典籍外译促进中西文明互鉴——董晓波教授访谈

Strengthen Foreign Translation of Chinese Legal Classics to Promote Mutual Learning between Chinese and Western Civilizations:An Interview with Professor Dong Xiaobo

本文是对国内著名法律翻译研究专家董晓波教授的访谈。法律典籍是域外了解中国法律文化、形成对中国法治形象认识的第一手资料,积极开展法律典籍外译及相关研究对推动中国法律文化走出去、重塑中国的域外法治形象、增强中国法治话语权具有重要意义。在访谈中,董教授阐述了中华优秀传统法文化的内涵,提及了中国法治形象的域外变迁及其深层原因,从历史价值、文明互鉴层面解释了中华法律典籍外译的必要性,并就我国法律典籍译介面临的挑战提出了对策,对新时代背景下我国法律典籍翻译的研究现状给出了可行建议。

This paper is about an interview with Professor Dong Xiaobo,a famous legal translation expert in China.Legal classics are the first-hand materials for understanding Chinese legal culture outside the region and forming an understanding of the image of Chinese rule of law.It is of great significance to actively carry out foreign translation of Chinese legal classics and related research to promote Chinese legal culture to go global,reshape China’s image of rule of law outside the region,and enhance the voice of Chinese rule of law.In the interview,Professor Dong elaborated the connotation of excellent traditional Chinese legal culture,mentioned the extraterritorial changes in the image of Chinese rule of law and its deep causes,explained the necessity of foreign translation of Chinese legal classics from the perspective of historical value and mutual learning of civilizations,and put forward countermeasures on the challenges faced in the translation of Chinese legal classics,and the research status and feasible suggestions on the translation of Chinese legal classics in the new era.
