The generation of value in health data exhibits temporal characteristics.The spatial logic of data rights recognizes the public value of health data,but neglects the fact that the generation and manifestation of such public value may require a prolonged period of accumulation.Advocating for a temporal logic of health data rights is to overcome the immediacy of spatial logic in addressing ownership issues.The extension of data value along the timeline is facilitated by the relational interpretation of health data,where the current and future use of data is characterized by the"attachment"and"separation"between data and multiple subjects.This implies that health data rights need to take into account the future orientation of data values.On this basis,the practice of temporal logic needs to be guided by intergenerational obligations,the ethics of solidarity,and the strengthening of preventive function of rules.
