In the context of the new curriculum standard,middle school physics teaching needs to deeply practice the new curriculum standard concept,vigorously implement quality education,and cultivate students'core physics competencies.Life oriented teaching can enrich the content of physics teaching,broaden students'horizons,stimulate their interest and motivation in learning,and enable them to explore the mysteries of physics more scientifically and proactively.The article combines the new requirements of the new curriculum standards for middle school physics teaching,elaborates on the connotation of life oriented teaching in middle school physics from the perspective of core competencies,and proposes strategies for life oriented teaching in middle school physics from the perspective of core literacy,aiming to promote students'understanding and application of physics knowledge,and cultivate their physics application abilities.
