A Study of Yao Wenran's Three Articles

姚文然是明朝的进士,在清初为官,官至刑部尚书,对清初法律制度的建立与完善,发挥了极其重要的作用。他关心家乡,热爱家乡,重感情、守信誉,对友人潘江宗族修谱,桐城县纂修方志,都给予充分肯定,并撰写序文表示支持。

Yao Wenran was a Jinshi in the Ming dynasty,but an official in the early Qing dynasty,who played an important role in the establishment and perfection of the legal system of the early Qing dy-nasty.He was also a scholar with integrity,who cared about and loved his hometown.He gave full rec-ognition to the compiling of his friend Pan Jiang's family genealogy,and the local chronicles of Tongcheng County,and wrote prefaces respectively.
