A Preliminary Discussion on Song Shouchang’s Creation of Songs

宋寿昌是中国近代一位值得关注的音乐家,他在歌曲创作方面颇有建树,目前学界关于其歌曲创作的研究成果却并不多。其作品在题材方面注重结合时代特征与人们实际生活,在技术上将中西方音乐技法与音乐元素有机融合,词曲结合方面重视歌词语气、情感的完整性。这说明中国近代自主培养的音乐家在探索中国歌曲创作的民族性方面曾做出诸多有益尝试。

Song Shouchang’s songwriting-related research has received less attention.The school music of the 20s and 40s to which his work belongs is also an unsubdivided field of study.In terms of subject matter,his works pay attention to combination of the characteristics of the times and people’s actual lives,integration of Chinese and Western musical techniques and musical elements in terms of technology,and the integrity of lyrics and emotions in terms of the combination of lyrics and songs.This shows that modern Chinese self-cultivated musicians have made many useful attempts to explore the national nature of Chinese songwriting.
