Analysis on the Cultural Connotation of Sanping Temple's Legends and Stories

目前学界关于三平寺的传说故事,专文讨论似仍家家,有待加深研究。三平寺至今流传的传说故事,有关于义中禅师法脉渊源的,有关于义中禅师三平建寺的,有关于三平寺诸神如蛇侍者、虎侍者、监斋爷、伽蓝爷的,有关于地方先贤人物如颜尚书、潘尚书等有功三平寺修建的,有关于三寺平分灵分镇地方如漳州初华坊、南靖大房庵等的,有关于三平寺签诗灵验的,等等。这些传说故事涉及三平寺文化,值得进一步深入解析,对三平祖师信俗文化的传承与弘扬、解读三平寺文化内涵、促进地方经济社会文化发展,都有十分重要的作用。

The current study and papers on the legend of Sanping temple need to be strengthened.The folk legends of Sanping temple are about Yizhong buddhist master's religious clan;Yingzhong buddhist master's Biulding Sanping temple;gods in Sanping temple,such as snake waiter,tiger waiter,Jianzhaiye,jialanye;local sages,such as Yan minister and Pan minister's merit on Sanping temple,etc.;Sanping temple's fenling temple,such as Zhangzhou chuhua temple and Dafang temple;efficacious stories of Sanping temple's divination sticks;and so on.These legends and stories relected the history of Zhangzhou development and construction,Zhangzhou local snake worship,the prosperity and development of Sanping Zushi belief cultureand its broad and far-reaching influence of Sanping Zushi belief in the folk,worth to deeper study.
