思辨能力导向下的英语专业论证文写作教材研究

摘要 我国目前的英语专业写作教材编写,语法语用导向明显,体裁分类、分割教学占主导,逻辑学、论证学等专业系统知识讲授不足,制约着英语专业的专业性、学科性发展。本文从思辨能力培养的角度,对国内主流英语专业教材出版社目前出版的基础写作教材进行对比分析,并对其中专门聚焦思辨和论证能力培养的某教材与美国社区大学最新出版的论证文写作教材进行比较,并以笔者所在高校英语专业大四学生为例,分析其在原有写作教材和教学体系指导下,英语思辨和论证能力现状。探索如何以知识系统为基本框架来构建论证文写作教材的系统性、关联性和层级性,从而搭建学术英语写作的进阶训练,满足学生求职和深造的发展需求。 Currently,textbooks of English writing courses for English majors in China have an obvious orientation of grammar and language accuracy,and the teaching content mostly follows a framework of the genre classification and division.Meanwhile,insufficient teaching of systematic knowledge such as logic and argumentation restricts the speciality and disciplinary development of English majors.From the perspective of critical thinking ability cultivation,this paper compares and analyzes the elementary writing textbooks currently published by the domestic mainstream textbook publishing houses for English majors,compares a domestic textbook that focuses on the cultivation of speculative and argumentative ability with the latest argumentative writing textbook published by American community colleges,and takes the seniors of English major in the author’s university as an example to analyze their thinking and argumentation ability under the guidance of the current writing textbook and teaching system.This study explores how to use the knowledge system as the basic framework to build the systematic,relevant and hierarchical nature of argumentative writing textbooks,so as to build advanced training in academic English writing and meet the development needs of students’job search and further study.
