汉学家杜善牧与《易经》研究

Sinologist Carmelo Elorduy and the Book of Changes

杜善牧是西班牙资深汉学家,1983年翻译出版了第一部汉西直译版《易经》。本文拟先评述杜善牧的主要汉学成就,梳理其辞书编撰、典籍翻译、哲学研究方面的汉学成果;其次介绍该汉西《易经》译本,从底本参考、翻译体例及翻译策略进行分析;进而凝炼出杜善牧西译《易经》的特点及易学思想。本研究认为,杜善牧作为传教士汉学家受到自身使命和立场的影响,译本及易学思想存在一定的历史局限性,但是其汉学研究为其他研究者提供了借鉴,为推动中华文化在西班牙语世界的传播作出了贡献。因此,中国学者在向海外传播中国文化时,应当坚定自己的民族立场,考虑文化接受者的立场和需求,立足本土、胸怀世界、契合实际,增强中华文明的传播力影响力,推动中华文化更好走向世界。

Carmelo Elorduy is a senior Spanish sinologist who translated and published the first Chinese-Spanish translation Book of Changes.This article will first review his major achievements,and sort out his sinology achievements in lexicography,classic translation,and philosophical research.Secondly,it introduces the translation of the Book of Changes,analyzes the reference of the original text,the translation style and the translation strategy.In addition,it will summerize the characteristics of his translation and his thought.This study argues that Carmelo Elorduy as a missionary sinologist,was influenced by his mission and stance,and that there were certain historical limitations in his translation and thought.However,his sinology research contributed to the spread of Chinese culture in the Spanish-speaking world.Therefore,when Chinese scholars disseminate Chinese culture overseas,we should stand firm on our own national position,consider the position and needs of cultural recipients,base themselves on the local,think about the world,and fit in with reality,enhance the communication and influence of Chinese civilization,and promote Chinese culture to the world.
