摘要
对61所世界一流大学官方文本进行编码与分析后发现,世界一流大学服务全球可持续发展的共同路径包括教育与科研、外展与参与、校园运营与交通、环境与生态、全球影响与评估五个维度。世界一流大学服务全球可持续发展可从三个方面得以体现,即大学自身的可持续发展、大学促进高等教育可持续发展及大学在推动实现可持续发展目标上的潜力。不同国家一流大学服务全球可持续发展的关注点存在差异,可分属总体均衡型、学术主导型、外部关联型及内部建设型四个集群;不同国家一流大学对全球可持续发展的关注度也存在差异,可分属采纳、试验和评估三个阶段;相关影响因素包括差异化的可持续发展挑战、高等教育发展水平、大学资金构成、大学内外部交流与互动机制等。
By coding substantial official textual data from 61 world-class universities(WCUs),this study reveals WCUs'contributing to global sustainable development in education and research,outreach and engagement,campus operation and transportation,landscapes and ecosystems,global impacts and evaluation,implying WCUs'role in facilitating global sustainable development can be demonstrated in three aspects,namely,the sustainability of WCUs themselves,the role of WCUs in promoting the sustainable development of higher education,and WCUs'potential in driving the achievement of SDGs.Also,the results uncover substantial differences in WCUs'priorities in contributing to global sustainable development,identifying four distinctive clusters of WCUs with regard to their focuses,designated as generally-balanced,academically-dominated,externally-associated,and internally-reformed.Findings of this study also illustrate that WCUs'attention to global sustainable development ranges,and can be categorized into three types:adoption,trial,and evaluation.Relevant influencing factors include the sustainable development challenges faced by the external society,the development level of higher education system,the composition of university funding,and the internal/external exchange and interaction mechanism of WCUs.
