The concept of sponge city is a green development concept that organically combines natural ecosystem with urban construction.Taking the newly-built engineering of No.318 Road(Qianxing Road-Nanbo Road)in Xishan District as an example,this paper expounds in detail various municipal road sponge city construction elements,such as single tree pond,road cross-section design,permeable pavement,drainage system optimization,in order to provide reference for urban planning and design.At the same time,the construction of municipal road sponge city has multiple benefits such as water resource management,water quality improvement,ecological environment,economy and society,which is conducive to the realization of sustainable development goals.
