意义理论再出发:2023年传播符号学研究前沿综述

Meaning Theory Reloaded:A Review of the Frontiers of Communication Semiotics Research in 2023

摘要 2023年,传播学与符号学多维度融合的趋势正在进一步深化。本文从基础理论、焦点话题、话语体系、方法论四个维度对这一年国内外传播符号学进展提供一个不完全观察。在理论基础方面,“传播之真”等经典论题在新语境下的信息论与意义论的对话中得到拓展。这一年的新媒介焦点话题是AI——以Chat GPT为代表的大语言模型在媒介平台中的应用引发的传播符号学分析,正在催生出“准主体性”以及“后叙事性”等一系列新理论。文化向来是传播符号学的重点研究领域。基于中华文化的“符号考古”与国际学术界关注的“中国叙事”有成为中国传播学自主知识体系建设的新突破的趋势。此外,作为方法论的“传播符号学”正在为包括艺术在内的多媒介、跨体裁文本提供新的话语阐释方法。符号学正在成为传播学不可分割的一个整体,而作为整体的“传播符号学”作为传播学的人文学典型范式在新的理论语境下展现其理论生命力。 In 2023,the trend of multi-dimensional integration of communication studies and semiotics is further deepening.This article provides an incomplete observation of the progress of communication semiotics at home and abroad this year from four dimensions:basic theory,focus topics,discourse system,and methodology.In terms of theoretical foundations,classic topics such as“the truth of communication”have been expanded in the dialogue between information theory and meaning theory in the new context.This year’s new media focus topic is AIGC-the semiotic analysis triggered by the application of large language models represented by Chatgpt to media is giving rise to a series of new theories such as“quasi-subjectivity”and“post-narrativity”.Culture has always been a key research field in communication semiotics.“Semiotic archeology”based on Chinese culture and“Chinese narrative”that is of international concern have the tendency to become new breakthroughs in the construction of China’s independent knowledge system of communication studies.In addition,“communication semiotics”as a methodology is providing new discourse interpretation methods for multi-media and cross-genre texts,including art.Semiotics is becoming an inseparable whole of communication studies,and“communication semiotics”as a whole,as a typical paradigm of humanities in communication studies,shows its theoretical vitality in the new theoretical context.
